Copy Clean URL (“the Extension”) is a browser tool designed to help users clean UTM and other marketing parameters from links, and quickly copy those cleaned links to the clipboard. It operates on single links, all links on a page, or across multiple tabs/windows/groups for user convenience.
Permissions Usage
The Chrome extension requests the following permissions strictly to perform its core functionality:
- activeTab: To access the currently open tab for cleaning and copying URLs when the user initiates the action.
- clipboardWrite: To copy cleaned links to your clipboard on request.
- storage: To store extension settings/preferences locally in your browser (not transmitted elsewhere).
- scripting, tabs, tabGroups: To process multiple tabs, groups, and perform link cleanup as requested by the user.No permission is used beyond what is necessary for the extension to function.
Use of Data
- No user data is shared, sold, or transferred to any third party for any purpose.
- The extension does not use any remote code or load code from external sites.All logic is contained within the extension package you installed.
Data Security
- All link processing takes place entirely within your browser.
- No information is ever transmitted outside your device.
